The rectangular top in well-figured solid English walnut, with thumb-moulded edge and joined in multiple boards, above a central long drawer flanked by two short drawers. Each drawer front is cockbeaded and inlaid with featherbanding, likely in boxwood and walnut, and fitted with original or period brass swan-neck handles and pierced backplates.

The shaped apron features a central scroll flanked by symmetrical ogee cut-outs, and the whole stands on square-section chamfered legs. Constructed in solid walnut with oak-lined drawers, hand-cut dovetails, and evidence of traditional cabinetmaking throughout. Rich patination to all surfaces with scattered marks and wear commensurate with age.
