Made to become part of the ritual of decorating for Christmas, our oversized bows are handmade at Terrou Studio in Guernsey, using beautiful natural fabrics and traditional sewing techniques.

Generously proportioned and softly structured, each bow is designed to have the weight and fullness of something made properly. Every one is individually cut, sewn and shaped by hand, with hidden stitching throughout and a reinforced tie at the back for secure hanging. No glue is used in their construction.

Designed to be brought out year after year, they are a lovely alternative to disposable Christmas decorations. Tie one to a wreath or garland, hang it from a mantel or staircase, or use it to dress an old cupboard, bedpost or antique chest. Once Christmas is over, simply untie it and tuck it away ready for next December.

Each bow is made using a 100% natural-fibre outer, with a choice of pure linen or cotton ticking stripe. The fabrics have been chosen for their traditional character and the way they soften beautifully with age.

As each bow is entirely handmade, there will be small variations in shape and dimensions. These are part of their character and mean that no two are quite identical. Please note that there are very limited numbers of these.

Materials: 100% linen exterior in the natural stripe option; 100% cotton exterior in the red and gold stripe options

Dimensions: Approximately 65cm wide × 45cm long

Construction: Sewn throughout with hidden stitching and reinforced hanging tie

Care: Store flat or loosely folded between seasons. Any creasing from storage can be gently steamed back into shape.

Made to order: Please allow 4-6 weeks for your bow to be individually made and finished.

A future heirloom for the Christmas box, made to gather a little more history each time it is unpacked.
