Arts and Crafts Child’s Rocking Chair, c.1900–1920
A charming Arts and Crafts child’s rocking chair in solid quarter-sawn oak. The curved top rail inlaid with a circular medallion of  contrasting woods, depicting a stylised bear motif. The back features two shaped horizontal double-slats, with plain uprights, shaped arms, and a traditionally handwoven rush seat in an envelope pattern. The chair stands on turned front supports and plain rear uprights, joined by double stretchers and set on shaped rockers.
