THE CURATORS

Welcome to our corner of the antique world, where timeless craftsmanship meets contemporary sensibility. We are a husband-and-wife team driven by a shared passion for preserving the beauty of the past while making it accessible to the present.

Camille

With qualifications from the Gemmological Association of Great Britain and over seven years of experience in the world of fine art auctioneering - having worked at esteemed houses like Sotheby’s and Bonhams - Camille brings an unparalleled expertise to our collection. Her deep knowledge of antique jewellery and fine gems is rooted in both history and artistry, allowing her to expertly assess the value, provenance, and craftsmanship of each piece. Having worked with rare and often priceless jewellery in the auction world, Camille is committed to bringing this level of expertise to a broader audience, ensuring that the allure of antique jewellery is not only preserved but also appreciated in a modern context.

Philip

A second-generation furniture restorer and conservator, Philip grew up surrounded by craftsmanship and a deep respect for traditional methods. His father’s expertise in the restoration of fine furniture laid the foundation for Philip’s own career, which has spanned decades and seen him work with many of the finest examples of period furniture. After years spent honing his craft in London, Philip relocated to Guernsey, where he now blends the tried-and-true techniques of conservation with a keen awareness of contemporary design sensibilities. His commitment to authenticity and quality ensures that each piece - whether an English Georgian chest or a French Empire fauteuil - receives the meticulous care it deserves to retain both its beauty and integrity.

THE COMPANY

After years immersed in the dynamic world of London’s antique scene, we felt a call to return to Guernsey, to a quieter, more reflective place where we could cultivate our own vision. Our approach is founded on a deep respect for the history and craftsmanship of each item we encounter, but also an understanding that the antique world must evolve to remain relevant in today’s ever-changing landscape. We are committed to bringing both knowledge and passion to every interaction, ensuring that our clients are as informed as they are inspired by the pieces they acquire.

'Terrou' is the Guernésiais word for 'Always' - a word which resonated strongly with us. â€‹We believe antiques should be both appreciated for their heritage and embraced for their ability to contribute to the beauty and functionality of modern life. Our collection represents not only the history of fine jewellery and furniture but also a bridge between past and present. We work with clients to help them see that antiques are not merely relics of the past but treasures that can compliment and enhance the spaces and lives of today.

At the heart of our mission is the desire to make the antique world more accessible and approachable, while preserving the standards of knowledge, care, and expertise that have defined it for centuries.

We invite you to explore our collection, where tradition meets innovation, and where every piece tells a story.
