A well-balanced demi-lune side table in mahogany, the top with a triple reeded edge above a plain frieze embellished with fine chevron stringing and a narrow cross-grain mahogany banding. Raised on square tapering legs terminating in neatly formed spade feet. Traditionally constructed throughout using mortise-and-tenon joinery, the table presents with a mellow surface and retains good overall character. Originally made as the D end of a larger dining table, it now serves as an honest and functional side table in its own right.
Dimensions: 71.5cm high x 121cm wide x 58.5cm deep
Condition: Structurally sound. Surface wear and fading consistent with age; shrinkage crack to frieze; partial loss to line inlay.
