The solid oak top, inlaid with a double crossbanded border of mahogany, sits above a single short drawer and an arrangement of three long graduated drawers, with a panelled cupboard door to one side. The drawer fronts and cupboard door are each bordered with fine crossbanded mahogany. The front corners of the carcass are set with canted and reeded pilasters, terminating in shaped capitals and plinths, all raised on bracket feet. The drawers retain brass swan-neck handles with circular backplates. Constructed in solid oak and pine, with quarter-sawn figuring to the drawer fronts and top, consistent with 18th century cabinet work throughout.
