A charming pair of late Victorian berry spoons, housed in their original fitted presentation case with ruched blue silk lining.

The bowls are richly embossed with cascading grape clusters and vine leaves, a decorative motif long associated with fruit service and the Victorian dining table. Their elegant handles combine geometric ornament with stylised foliage, reflecting the transition between late Victorian design and the emerging Art Nouveau movement at the turn of the twentieth century.

Retaining their original fitted case, these spoons would likely have been presented as a wedding, anniversary, or special occasion gift. Such sets were intended for serving soft fruits and berries, bringing both practicality and refinement to the table.

The spoons bear a registered maker's trademark within a diamond-shaped cartouche, incorporated into the decorative design. While the exact manufacturer remains unidentified, the quality of the die-struck decoration and presentation suggest a well-made example of the period.

Today they make a wonderful decorative addition to a silver collection, a thoughtful gift for a collector, or an elegant piece for use in the home.
