A beautifully decorative vintage cut crystal cruet, with a substantial faceted stopper, elegant loop handle and little pouring lip.

The body is particularly pretty, cut with starburst and geometric motifs that catch the light wonderfully. The pattern continues beneath the base with a large cut star, while the stopper has been deeply faceted into an almost jewel-like form. There is a pleasing weight and clarity to the glass that makes this a lovely little object in its own right.

Originally intended for vinegar or another table condiment, pieces like this are wonderful for bringing old glass back onto the table. We rather like the idea of it filled with a good olive oil or dressing for Christmas lunch, though it is just as appealing sitting amongst other old glassware on a dresser.
