There is something particularly lovely about the glow of a beeswax candle. These traditional dinner candles are made in Dorset from 100% pure raw beeswax, with no paraffin, synthetic fragrance or other additives. Each is individually hand-dipped in small batches and finished with a pure cotton wick.

The wax comes from local Dorset hives and is kept unfiltered, retaining traces naturally present in the hive, including pollen and propolis. This gives the candles their beautiful golden colour and their delicate, naturally honeyed scent. No added perfume is needed.

Beeswax has long been prized for candle making. It burns slowly and brightly, producing a wonderfully warm flame and a burn that is considerably longer than many man-made candle waxes. The subtle variations in colour and finish are part of their character, reflecting both the natural material and the hand-dipped process.

At 20cm long and approximately 2cm in diameter, these are a classic dinner-candle size, made for old brass candlesticks and a Christmas table. Each candle offers over seven hours of burn time.

Handmade for us in Dorset by artisanal bee keepers.

A small note on burning: Trim the wick if necessary before lighting and always place candles securely in a suitable holder on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Keep away from draughts, flammable materials, children and pets, and never leave a burning candle unattended.
